Permission Categories

The actions that users are allowed to take in Enterprise TV are determined by their assignment to a user group. The permissions settings for each group are available in the Add / Edit Local Group menu.

NOTE: If a user does not have permission to use a feature, that feature will not appear in the interface when they log in.

Watch

With the permission:	Users can:
Watch Live TV	Access Live TV
Watch Recorded Shows	Access the library Search Recordings
Use the Multiviewer	Play back more than one recording at a time using the multiviewer

Edit/Create/Delete

Edit Recorded Shows	Change Lock status between Keep Until I Delete and Keep Until Space is Needed Edit metadata for recorded shows
Delete Recorded Shows	Delete recorded shows
Create Clips	Create clips
Create Recordings	Set up new recordings Note: Users who have the Create New Recordings permission but NOT the Edit and Delete Recordings permission will be able to create new recording jobs only at the lowest priority, and they will not have an option to resolve conflicts that will prevent the shows that they schedule from being recorded. Recording jobs created by such users will be prioritized on a first-come, first-served basis.
Edit and Delete Recordings and Manage Conflicts	Access Recording Manager to change settings an priorities for recording
Stop Recordings	Stop in-progress recordings immediately
Import Media Items	Access the Import File page to add external items to the SnapStream Library

Export

Download Files	Download recordings and closed-captioning transcripts
Email Clips	Create Share Clip jobs
Post Videos to YouTube	Use the Upload to YouTube feature
Tweet Screenshots	Post still images to Twitter
Tweet Video	Post videos and GIFs to Twitter
Queue Tweets	Add items to the Queued Tweets list
Post Screenshots to Facebook	Post still images to Facebook
Post Videos to Facebook	Post videos to Facebook
Queue Facebook Posts	Add items to the Queued Facebook Posts list
Add Personal Facebook Account	Add a Facebook account in Account Settings
Add Personal Twitter Account	Add a Twitter account in Account Settings
Add Personal YouTube Account	Add a YouTube account in Account Settings

Administration

Administer Email Alerts	View and edit TV alerts created by any user
Administer Post-Processing Tasks	Cancel ShowSqueeze and SmartSkip jobs
Administer User Permissions	Create and manage user accounts and groups Reset forgotten user passwords. NOTE: Passwords for LDAP-linked users must be changed through Windows and cannot be managed through Enterprise TV.
Administer Server Settings	View and edit any settings. When this permission is disabled, only settings specific to the user's account, such as that user's TV Alerts and display properties, will be available.
Change Password	Allows the user to change his or her own password.
