Posting to Facebook

[REARCH-11158] - Option to save clip when posting video or GIF to Twitter or Facebook

Click the Facebook (clip0434) button in the Web Player or the Post to Facebook link for a clip in the Library to see options for posting to Facebook from SnapStream.

The following options are available in the Post to Facebook dialog:

If multiple Pages are enabled, you can select which one will be used to post. See the Facebook settings page for more information.

Enter the text of your post in the text box.

Click the Keep Clip checkbox if you would like to retain the segment as a clip in the SnapStream Library. Otherwise, no clip will be saved locally after the Tweet is posted.

If posting video, you may choose a custom thumbnail image to appear in your post. Click Custom Thumbnail and choose a file from your hard drive.

Three different types of posts are available:

  • Image: Post a snapshot of the image currently displayed in the web player. Note: Only available while playing back a video.
  • Video: Post a link to play back video of the segment that you have selected. Will be available if you have set clip endpoints.
  • Text: Post text only.

After you click the Post button, the image or video file will be uploaded. This should only take a minute or two. You can track the progress of the task on the Tasks page.

For more on posts, post statistics, queued posts, or how to repost, view the Social page.
