Tweeting Clips

Click the Tweet () tab in the Web Player or the Tweet link for a clip in the Library to see options for posting to Twitter.

  1. Select the Twitter account that you want to post to. See the Twitter settings page for more information.
  2. Enter any text for the Tweet.
  3. Select the type of Tweet that you want to send. See below.
  4. Select an aspect ratio for any video or image that will be part of the Tweet.
  5. If you want to schedule the Tweet for later, enter that information.
  6. If Watermarking is enabled, you may apply one here.
  7. If you want to create both a video clip in the SnapStream Library AND a send a Tweet, set Keep Clip to On. Otherwise, only the Tweet will be created.
  8. Enter any Monetization information: topics to include and exclude, and handles to block. This option is available for whitelisted accounts only.
  9. Click Queue to place the Tweet in the queue, or Tweet to send it right away. See Social for more information about the queue.

Four types of Tweets are available:

  • Text only.
  • ImageTweet a snapshot of the image currently displayed in the web player. (Note: this option is only available while playing back a video, not when Tweeting from the Library.)
  • GIF: Tweet an animated GIF of the segment that you have selected. (This option will be available if you have set clip endpoints.)
  • Video: Tweet a video of the segment that you have selected.
Twitter video uploads are limited to 140 seconds for standard accounts, or 10 minutes for verified accounts.

After you click the Tweet button, the image, gif, or video file will be uploaded to Twitter. This should only take a few minutes.

You can track the progress of the task on the Tasks page.
